Economics continues its growth as a popular A Level choice
The latest data on A Level candidate numbers just issued by the JCQ shows that Economics has enjoyed its sixth consecutive growth as an A Level option. Combined AS & A2 Economics candidate numbers reached 62,713 in summer 2012, a 6.2% increase on 2011.
In the last five years, A Level Economics has been chosen by over 23,000 additional students, a 58% increase on candidate numbers in summer 2007.
